Buy, Sell, Trade & Mineral Collections

Every collection has a story. Whether you've inherited a cabinet of treasures, discovered an unusual specimen or want to find the right home for your minerals, we're happy to start the conversation.

FOR ROCKHOUNDS & COLLECTORS

Treasures Change Hands. Stories Live On.

From a single beautiful crystal to a lifetime of rockhounding discoveries, we consider specimens individually. Condition, provenance, correct identification, market demand and collection size all influence the options available.

Ways to Work With Us

01 · Sell Rocks & Minerals

Have specimens or a collection you'd like us to consider purchasing? Send clear photographs, approximate sizes, weights and any known locality details. We review suitability and may request an in-person inspection.

02 · Trade Mineral Specimens

Collectors may inquire about potential specimen-for-specimen trades. We consider identity, aesthetics, condition, rarity and fit for our current inventory. Trades are by mutual agreement only.

03 · Inherited & Estate Collections

Sorting an inherited rock collection can be overwhelming. We can discuss an initial review of larger collections, including labels, provenance and organization before determining whether acquisition is suitable.

04 · Wholesale & Consignment Inquiries

Have a larger group of eligible specimens or a wholesale opportunity? Share quantities, descriptions and photos. Any consignment or wholesale arrangement must be reviewed and agreed individually.

INDIVIDUAL COLLECTION REVIEW

Evaluation & Offers

There is no automatic purchase offer or guaranteed valuation. We review submissions case by case and discuss any assessment fee in advance if a more detailed evaluation is required. Formal appraisals or authentication are not implied.

How to Submit Your Specimens

Ⅰ · Photograph the pieces. Show multiple angles and include a scale reference.

Ⅱ · Tell us the details. Include weight, dimensions, known origin and how many specimens you have.

Ⅲ · Describe your goal. Are you looking to sell, trade, discuss consignment or explore wholesale?

Ⅳ · Arrange a review. We'll respond about next steps and whether an appointment is appropriate.

Why Provenance Matters

Original locality labels, collection notes and purchase records can make a meaningful difference. Please don't clean, cut, polish or remove labels from potentially valuable specimens before asking for advice. We do not knowingly acquire unlawfully collected or protected material.

Let's Talk About Your Collection

It's always best to call before stopping by. We may be offsite filling orders, visiting the post office, cutting larger rocks, rockhounding or spending time with our son. Sometimes we're only 5–15 minutes away, and we'd love to be here when you visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you buy every rock collection?

No. Purchase decisions depend on identity, condition, provenance, demand and what we can reasonably accommodate.

Can I send photographs first?

Yes. Photos and specimen details are the best starting point, although an in-person review may be necessary.

Can you provide an official appraisal?

Not as part of an ordinary purchase inquiry. Ask separately if you require a formal independent appraisal.
