Mineral Specimens & Rock Shop FAQ | The Hidden Bazaar

What is The Hidden Bazaar?

The Hidden Bazaar is an independent online shop for natural rocks, mineral specimens, crystals, fossils and lapidary rough. We focus on individual geological specimens for rockhounds, collectors and curious beginners. Our associated physical rock shop and lapidary workshop is The Hidden Gem in Penryn, California, serving the greater Sacramento and Placer County area.

What can I buy online?

Browse rocks and mineral specimens, new arrivals, quartz, fluorite, calcite, fossils and petrified specimens, and lapidary rough. Individual product listings show available details and current inventory.

Are the specimens one of a kind?

Many natural mineral specimens are individually photographed and available as single pieces. Check the current product listing to see the exact photographs, weight, condition and quantity before purchasing.

How is a mineral identified or dated?

Descriptions may include visual identification, reported locality and estimated geological age. Such details are not laboratory verified unless a listing explicitly says so. When an identification is uncertain, it should be treated as provisional. Our goal is to make the known details clear rather than imply certainty.

Do you offer minerals from Nevada and other localities?

Yes. Our changing inventory includes Nevada mineral specimens, California minerals, Mexico minerals, Brazil minerals, and Comstock Lode and Virginia City material when available. See each product for its reported provenance.

Do you ship outside California?

The Hidden Bazaar serves online shoppers across the United States. Shipping options, eligible destinations, charges, and delivery estimates are shown during checkout or on our shipping information page.

Can I visit a physical rock shop?

For in-person shopping and lapidary services, visit The Hidden Gem in the Penryn and Loomis area near Sacramento, California. Please confirm current opening hours and appointment arrangements before traveling.
