Natural honey chalcedony from the Great Basin, selected for its warm amber-to-caramel translucency, sculptural irregular form, and distinctive dark botryoidal features within the silica. A substantial, one-of-one display specimen with strong desert-basin character.

Mineral: Honey chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz).

Weight: 7 oz

Locality: Great Basin, USA.

Formation age: Approximately 5–30 million years old, based on the supplied Great Basin formation context.

Geology: Chalcedony forms when silica-rich fluids fill fractures, cavities, or porous zones and slowly deposit microcrystalline quartz. Its honey color is typically influenced by natural iron-bearing staining or inclusions.

Care: Durable at about Mohs 7, but avoid sharp impacts and harsh chemicals. Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly.

Metaphysical meaning: In crystal traditions, honey chalcedony is associated with steadiness, confidence, creativity, and warm, grounded energy. These are spiritual beliefs and are not scientific or medical claims.
