Earth-Toned Crystalline Beauty from Mexico

A striking, one-of-a-kind cluster of intergrown translucent crystals with subtle smoky green-gray tones, warm champagne and peach-colored crystal faces, and naturally iron-stained host rock. Large angular and pointed formations create a dramatic layered display, with smaller crystals nestled between them. The contrasting front and rustic mineralized matrix on the reverse make this an intriguing addition to any mineral collection.

Specimen Details

  • Reported origin: Mexico; precise state, mine and collecting location not documented
  • Weight: 8.0 oz (approximately 227 g)
  • Appearance: Intergrown clear-to-translucent smoky green-gray, pale champagne and peach-pink crystals with rust-brown matrix staining
  • Possible minerals: Some well-developed crystal faces appear quartz-like, while other angular pale peach growths are calcite-like. The specific mineral species, and whether multiple minerals are present, are not confirmed by testing.
  • Reported geological age: 50–200 million years, based on collection information, not verified. Without a documented geologic locality or dating, neither the age of the host rock nor the later crystal growth can be established.
  • Condition: Natural, unpolished specimen. Visible irregular crystal contacts and some incomplete edges are shown in the photographs; examine all images.
  • Quantity: 1. You will receive the exact specimen photographed.

From Mexico's Mineral-Rich Geology

Mexican mineral districts are known for diverse quartz and calcite crystal associations, which can form together in mineral-rich veins and cavities. This specimen's exact locality and individual mineral phases remain unverified; it is presented as a collectible natural crystal cluster rather than attributed to a particular mine.

Traditional Metaphysical Associations

In crystal folklore, quartz is often associated with clarity, focus and amplifying intentions; calcite is traditionally linked with renewal and emotional balance. These traditional associations describe beliefs only and are not scientifically established benefits. This listing does not imply either mineral has been conclusively identified in this specimen.
