Quartz & Calcite Crystal Cluster Nevada 6.1 oz Natural Druzy Matrix Specimen
$109.00
Quartz & Calcite Crystal Cluster – Nevada
A sculptural 6.1 oz Nevada mineral specimen featuring clear to translucent quartz points rising through pale bladed and blocky secondary crystals, with a sparkling gray-black druzy matrix on the reverse. The contrasting textures make this a strong hand-sized cabinet piece.
- Likely ID: Quartz with calcite on dark druzy matrix
- Locality: Nevada, USA
- Weight: Approx. 6.1 oz (173 g)
- Approximate geological age: 1–5 million years old, based on supplied locality/context estimate; exact host formation age has not been laboratory verified
- Formation: Likely hydrothermal or epithermal mineralization, with quartz and calcite crystallizing in open fractures or cavities and later fine druzy mineral growth coating parts of the matrix
- Color: Clear to milky white crystals over gray to dark charcoal matrix
- Condition: Natural specimen with multiple crystal faces, contact areas, minor edge wear/chips and growth irregularities typical of an unpolished mineral cluster; review all photos for exact condition
Collector Rarity Index™: 7/10 – Rare
Based on Nevada locality, mixed mineral association, crystal form, aesthetic contrast, preservation, and current market availability.
Collector appeal: The combination of a prominent elongated quartz point, layered pale calcite-like crystals, a crystal-lined cavity, and glittering dark reverse gives this specimen excellent visual variety from multiple angles.
Identification note: Quartz is strongly supported by visible prismatic terminated crystals. The pale secondary crystals are visually consistent with calcite, but that association is listed as likely rather than laboratory-confirmed.
Metaphysical tradition: Quartz is commonly associated with clarity, focus and amplification, while calcite is often associated with cleansing, renewal and emotional balance. These are cultural/spiritual beliefs and are not scientific or medical claims.
