The road behind the doors
Our Story
Before the Bazaar was a marketplace, it was a workshop built around stone, curiosity and the people who stopped to ask, “What is this?”
The beginning
The story started beneath the surface.
The original rock shop grew around minerals, natural history and lapidary work. People brought in rough stones, strange finds, inherited collections and questions. The workbench became as important as the display case.
The next chapter
The workshop became a Bazaar.
The Hidden Bazaar expands that spirit beyond minerals into jewelry, rugs, home objects, ritual goods, tea, spice and curiosities gathered for their texture, craft, usefulness and story.
Not an endless aisle. A place worth wandering.
Still rooted in Penryn
The physical shop remains part of the story.
We still cut, polish, identify, teach, recover lost objects and help collections find their next home. The Bazaar simply gives that curiosity a much larger set of doors.
✦Respect the object
Origin, condition and what is honestly known matter.
◇Keep craft visible
The workbench, classroom and marketplace belong together.
◈Leave room for wonder
Discovery is part of why people walk through the door.
